Even if you don't use it as a word processor, its very useful simply for removing formatting issues and cleaning up text that's been cut and pasted from other sources.
Of course, if you're looking for printing options, online integration and formatting tools, look elsewhere as Tex-Edit Plus X is extremely limited.
In addition, Tex-Edit Plus X is no longer being supported by the developer which also means that there is no Universal Binary file for it.
